Old Eagle School Open Houses

Please join us on Sunday afternoons between Memorial Day and Labor Day when a member of our Board of Trustees opens the Old Eagle School to the public and answers questions you might have about this wonderful historic treasure in the heart of Strafford, Pennsylvania.

Open House hours and dates: Sundays 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on June 13, June 20, June 27, July 4 (No open house), July 11, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8, August 15, August 22, and August 29. We hope you stop by for a tour!

Ice Cream Social

Please join us Sunday, June 6th, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. for an enjoyable afternoon with neighbors and supporters of the Old Eagle School. We'll be serving root beer floats, home made chocolate chip cookies, soft pretzels, and we are fortunate again to provide live blue grass music by local band Aimless Pursuit.

Spelling Bee

Please join us Sunday, September 10th, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. for our annual Spelling Bee at the Old Eagle School. This is an event for all ages. The Spelling Bee starts at 3:00 P.M., but arrive earlier to paint pumpkins, bob for donuts (they're hanging on a string), enjoy homemade chocolate chip cookies and hot apple cider. Everyone loves this event, so come and join in on the fun. You don't want to miss this.

Fall Cleanup

Preserving the Old Eagle School is an essential part of our mission. It's not all fun and games, but working together we kick off the December 4th weekend with the satisfaction of working with others and making the Old Eagle School look its best for winter. We'll be raking leaves, picking up sticks, trimming shrubs, and washing windows starting at 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning. With your help we'll be finished by 2:00 P.M. Please come join us.
